Yokohama October 2015

The idea of visiting Yokohama has always been at the back of my mind. I guess, if you consider the pattern humans usually behave, we tend to visit the nearest, most convenient places last. Given my track record, I think it’s true! Yokohama is the nearest city to Tokyo, so I always thought I could go there another time and prioritize other places like Osaka and Kyoto first. It’s Japan’s second most populous city, and I know there are a lot of people who live in  Yokohama but work in Tokyo (I’m thinking it’s like living in New Jersey and working New York?). I’ve heard great things about it but only really got to understand the charm when Gervin showed David and me around! We were only there for half a day, but I’ll surely come back for an overnight stay or so the next time I fly to Tokyo.
