Birds of the same feather flock together. Come to think of it, no one close to me doesn’t consider Japan as one of their favorite places in the world. My friends and I bond over Japanese food every chance we get, so this month’s meeting had to take place at Watami Greenbelt. We saw a sign that they had just added ramen and aburi maki in their menu. Perfect offerings for the changing seasons.

- Not a rare sight – tables all occupied!
- The huge sign that started our ramen craving.
- Tonkotsu chashu – always a classic.
- The spicy miso ramen is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
- We also got the salmon and tuna aburi maki. I’m partial to anything salmon, and this did not disappoint.
- Not a new dish but this is what I always get in Watami – Beef rice bowl with hot spring egg! Runny yolks are the best.
- I don’t think Crissey and I have ever met up without mentioning Japan at least once.
- Matcha tiramisu and vanilla egg custard for me and Farrah (who’s going with me to Japan next week!)
