Perks of being a blogger bride – a preview of the first Vera Wang Manila boutique in 8 Rockwell. Metro Weddings Magazine hosted an exclusive trunk show that got me spontaneously fitting Vera Wang dresses of my choice.
As soon as I entered the store, my eyes went straight to the classic Vera Wang Katherine ballgown. They came out with a red version a few years ago, as well as a plain-ish one without the lace appliques. I’m partial to tulle and organza ballgowns in princess-y silhouettes, and this one fit the bill perfectly. I’ve had this gown pinned on one of my Pinterest inspiration boards for months, so I was more than ecstatic to be able to see it, touch it, and actually try it on!
After the trunk show, I did some research and found out that it’s one of Vera Wang’s most famous dress styles among Japanese brides-to-be. It was a surprise to know that even my taste in wedding dresses is consistently Japanese-inspired!
Brides-to-be can visit the boutique and choose any of the dress styles available. They’ll have to pre-order the dress in your size, so give them a good 6-8 months before the wedding date to prepare and make it perfect! Free alternations come with the service so you won’t have to worry about your gown not fitting well on your special day. They say “You do not alter a Vera to fit you, you alter yourself to fit Vera.”, but seriously, unless you’re mannequin/sample size, we all need a few pins here and there!
If I didn’t have a wedding dress made from scratch, I would’ve probably gotten myself a ready-made Vera Wang dress. Her dresses are always so timeless and elegant!
Vera Wang Manila is located at the ground floor of 8 Rockwell along Hidalgo Drive, Makati. You can book an appointment by calling them at (+632)804-5071. Special thanks to Metro Weddings and Metro Magazine.
