Now with my hair short and red, my laziness when it comes to accessorizing has reached an all-time high. My hair has transformed into a strong enough statement as it is, and this is just about the most convenient thing to happen to me at this point in time. Will let my hair do the talking for now, while I live up to my being basic and having ordinary fashion sense. Right now, my ultimate dream is far from being a relevant person or a style icon in society. It is actually to sleep for a whole month if it were only possible, lol. This is clearly the stress talking!
With my book launching /signing already on October 10th (Everyone is invited! 2pm at National Bookstore Glorietta 1!), I’ve been stressing myself out wondering if book will be appreciated (or conversely, petitioned to be burned). All this, until I came across this quote from Jason Mraz – “You’re not obligated to win. You’re obligated to keep trying. To the best you can do everyday.” Well played, Mr. Mraz. This was just what I needed. Since when did I start caring about selling? (Also, some people think quotes are super cliche, but I think otherwise. Somewhere, in the world, there will be always be people who can get a boost of confidence or a moment of self-realization thanks to a random quote from the Internet.)
Anyhow, tomorrow’s the announcement of the Virtual Style Awards winners and even if I don’t expect to win at all, I’ll take this opportunity to thank all those who voted for me anyway. I do well know that while I may be one of the firsts to be in this personal style blogging thing, newer bloggers have caught up in terms of number of followers. I’m feeling extra sentimental right now – here’s a *virtual hug* for all those who are still here.
