Welcome to the first day of MOFW Singapore! To those who missed my last post, I’m challenging myself to do “My Own Fashion Week” featuring clothes and brands from the country where I last made a travel photography diary. Luckily, I have quite a few gifts from Singaporean blogshops recently, so what better way to celebrate them than to create a mini-event on my blog! I’m so excited for it, since it’s also a motivation for me to blog everyday.
My next MOFW will be in October, after I post pictures from my recent trip to Melbourne!
This skirt! <3 Not only does it give me the illusion of hips (I’m like a shapeless tree trunk, btw), but the length is ideal for a fun office/work look. The color is a beautiful shade of mustard too, so it’s not overwhelming at all.
I matched it with a cream-colored top with a ruffle detail on the shoulder for an all-out girly effect. Sometimes I love breaking the symmetry of my outfits just so it won’t look too boring!
Because I wanted to start this new concept off with a bang, I decided to get in touch with my girly side again by wearing a pseudo-dress. It may look like a one piece, but the two separate pieces look like they are a match made in heaven. You can never go wrong with pairing a ruffle top and a chiffon drape skirt!
Test your creativity out by improvising! This look actually reminded me of an old pseudo-romper outfit that was born out of my lack of proper rompers in the color that I wanted.
