Matchsticks on my top! And I’m literally little because without my heels, I’m only 5’3″. I always get “I thought you were model height!” kind of comments when I meet people in person for the first time. Thanks to proper posing and angles for this false-but-popular belief! And I guess I also have to credit my odd proportions and body type.
Last week, Crissey and I discovered (after 8 years of friendship, lol) that we are about the same height when sitting down, even if she is barely 5 feet tall. I only noticed it when we took some photos together recently. The best Trissey selfies happen when we’re sitting down. When we’re standing, the height difference is a lot more obvious! Discovery of the century!
Anyhow, life hacks to make it seem like you have legs for days? They exist, and they can help you even if you’re not wearing sky-high heels.
One way is to tiptoe instead of just standing flatly on the ground. Lots of personal style bloggers do this to look more graceful and to avoid looking stumpy. Another way is to plant your foot in front of the other. This is the most effective height-boosting pose for me! It also gives you the illusion of hips if you don’t have any (like me).
