Las Vegas life only starts when the sun goes down, and this gave us the perfect excuse to sleep in until lunch, and laze around the Las Vegas Strip until sunset.
We went to Downtown Las Vegas! Nothing much to do here except for the Fremont Street Experience.
And this was the first thing I saw in Fremont.
Man-bride. Because you know, getting married in Nevada (a.k.a. Marriage Capital of the World) is super easy.
You just need an ID, and a minimum of $60!
But beware! You might give birth to a VEGAS BABY, lolol #sopunny
Moussy dress / Forever 21 sandals / Michael Kors bag
We went a little early just so we can have dinner, and see the difference when there aren’t any lights on.
Saw this guy setting up his “floating” stint. He’s really sitting on a chair tho, haha
A group of young boys singing emo songs.
They all had wonderful hair. JEALOUS!
We hung out at the comic/toy store in this area because we eventually ran out of things to do, huhu
SUDDEN INFLUX OF TOURISTS. My parents have already been here before, so they just had coffee at a hotel nearby. “Wise choice, parents. Wise choice.”, said the introvert in me.
SO MANY LIGHTS AND COLORS. I wanted to retreat back into my B&W minimalist cave.
Starbucks x Las Vegas lights!
Hard to imagine your grandmas and grandpas like this, eh?
Viva Vision Light Show! They played Bon Jovi’s It’s My Life. “I ain’t gonna live forever” so I’m going to stay away from Vegas to extend my life, lololol
Most people line up on the SlotZilla Zip Line during this time so they can fly under the Viva Vision screen while the lights and music are on. The light show lasts for only about 5 minutes though!
Sunday morning at the MGM pool. I didn’t go for a swim because it was scorching hot and I’d rather sleep (pretty much the story of my life), but my dad and 2 of my brothers went! THERE WERE SO MANY PEOPLE. How do you even swim?! (I guess you don’t?)
Mass at the Guardian Angel Cathedral. The shadow made it look like the light is coming from the angel’s hand! 8D
I wonder what this corner looks like now. I heard they were building even more attractions along The Strip!
Just hanging out in their swim trunks and bikinis in the morning. No biggie!
One of the highlights of this trip, besides the shows that I watched, was being able to visit the Rodney Lough Jr. Wilderness Collection at City Center. Yup, I totally went to an art gallery in Vegas.
HIS LANDSCAPES ARE EVERYTHING. Naturally, I couldn’t take photos inside the art gallery, but do drop by if ever you’re in Vegas!
A normal sight in hotels around Vegas.
Juju blending in.
ARIA and Crystals.
RANDA top / Topshop skort / Forever 21 sandals / Marc by Marc Jacobs bag
When I suddenly remembered what my job was.
Me to my brother: “omg omg the sun is setting waa take my ootd now huhu” lol #priorities
Observers (from Fringe) x Dr. Manhattan. Chase blending in.
The botanical garden at the Bellagio.
Wish that I were a yellow bird / I’d fly away with you / But I am not a yellow bird / So here I sit / Nothing else to do
Pretending to look all fancy.
Dinner at Cafe Bellagio. They also had fantastic french onion soup!
Watched Cirque du Soleil’s O Show which was absolutely breathtaking. BEST SHOW IN VEGAS. So happy this was my last memory of Vegas before we left for the airport early morning the next day.
And that concludes my US travel posts from last May/June!
What is this separation anxiety that I’m feeling? It’s been 4+ months since this trip! After doing x number of US-related travel posts, I should actually be relieved now that it’s finally over. So bittersweet, especially since I’m ending the whole US travel leg with my love-hate relationship with Las Vegas…
