Vegas was the last leg of my annual family summer trip. My parents have been here a couple of times, and they wanted me and my siblings to see it at least once in our lifetimes. This being said, I don’t know if I’ll ever come back to this place again… unless there’s an important event that I have to attend. It’s a great place to unwind if you’re into casinos, pool parties, sexy girls, celebrity chefs, touring hotels, and whatnot. Unfortunately, my heart lies in big cities, and places with museums and historical architecture.
To be fair, I have to chalk my so-so Vegas experience up to getting super sick and spraining my foot out of nowhere, lol. Murphy’s law. I kept joking to my parents about Vegas knowing of my disapproval. As a form of revenge, it decided to pull a bad prank on me!
Oh well. At least I struck gold with shows like Michael Jackson ONE by Cirque du Soleil, Absinthe, and Cirque du Soleil’s O. I don’t mind going to Vegas for the shows. I do mind that I have absolutely nothing to do during the day, haha
Paris’ Eiffel Tower?
Rome’s Trevi Fountain?
Venice’s Campanile di San Marco?
No, it’s just Vegas, haha.
Daytime!Vegas is not the Vegas we always see in movies.
How Vegas looks like before all the parties start. Not a surprise to see only a few people walking around. The rest are still probably nursing their hangovers…
Or sleeping their hearts out because a lot of the shows end rather late…
Or gambling, lol.
Hey Crissey, I found a Coke store!
If you walk along the street, you can find a lot of people wearing costumes and asking for donations.
It’s scorching hot during the day so everyone’s somewhat forced to go inside the hotels and malls… which are all inspired by different countries!
I love me some Rick Owens.
“Killer” boots.
Went to Carlo’s Bakery, home of the Cake Boss! It’s times like these that I’m grateful to have a foodie as a younger brother. I would’ve totally skipped this place if I were just on my own.
Of course, I had to get my favorite kind of cake – strawberry shortcake! It was glorious.
Would you have your face immortalized like those busts that we see in museums…?
Calel and Chase.
Saw Chrome Hearts at Caesar’s Palace. If you follow K-pop boy groups, you’ve probably heard about this brand before.
I’ve always wanted that LV bag.
As if I don’t already have a surplus of black bags. u_u
The H&M store in Caesar’s Palace is something that you definitely can’t miss! It is all sorts of beautiful.
Tried Nobu. BEST MEAL OF MY LIFE
EMODA top and earrings / RANDA skirt / Michael Kors bag
Sickly me, resting before the Absinthe show.
We only decided which shows to watch once we arrived in Vegas. We asked around, and read some reviews online. A lot of people raved about Absinthe, a show that I’ve never heard of before.
The show was a mix of acrobatics, cabaret, and adult humor.
We’re all old enough in the family to not be awkward when watching these things together…
…and they actually laughed their asses off when I got randomly called on stage to receive lap dances from strangers.
KILL ME NOW
The show’s not all about adult humor though! The stunts were all pretty good too.
Finally, nighttime! Now this is the Vegas that I know.
The world’s largest chocolate fountain in Bellagio!
Paris, Las Vegas. Kind of like New York, Cubao. Or not really.
Speaking of New York…
All of the lights – cop lights, flash lights, spot lights, strobe lights, street lights.
Vegas show girls? Or just some random girls cosplaying as show girls?
Vegas life only starts once the sun goes down.
Still have 2 posts to go, then I’m finally done with all my US 2014 posts! I secretly don’t want it to end though. Obviously. What am I doing posting a trip from June… in October?!
