6 Reasons To Shop at SM Makati

SM Makati

Follow me to SM Makati!

Say hello to SM Makati’s interactive window displays! There’s a sliding door on the side where you can enter! I wish we had more creative concepts like this one! You can channel your inner model, and have a friend take your photo from outside. I wasn’t able to do it since I was alone when I recently dropped by SM Makati, but I’m sure you guys will come up with the most creative poses.

Time and time again, I’ve expressed my love for shopping in SM Makati, and here are some of the reasons why you should check it out if you haven’t yet:

SM (Shoe Mart) ain’t called SM for no reason. My personal pick is the area where you can find a circle of pointy toe flats! If you love classy, sophisticated styles, I’m sure you’ll love it too. You won’t have to think twice with all the affordable prices. If you’re visiting any time soon – there’s a huge selection of Korean-inspired platform sandals right now, if you’re looking for comfy shoes with added height.

While SM has their own brand of shoes, they also have all the major shoe brands (Nike, Adidas, New Balance, Keds, Converse, etc.) in their roster.

I blogged about SM’s Beauty Section before, and I’ll blog about it again because that’s how epic it really is. The SM Beauty Section in SM Makati is the largest source of local and international beauty brands in the whole Philippines.

Don’t get overwhelmed by this photo – the layout makes it really easy to find what you’re looking for.

Here are some photos from Sfera’s latest A/W 2015 presentation last week. I happened to bump into super talented artist and high school batch mate Soleil, who designed a limited edition tote bag for Sfera.

Sfera is only one of the many global brands that you can find in SM Makati. There’s Forever 21, H&M, Suiteblanco…

…and of course, my favorite (Hi! Welcome to) Uniqlo!

SM’s house brands SM Woman and GTW by SM are just as good as foreign brands. I love their current “Dare to Denim” campaign because it’s such a body-positive cause.

I’m currently in the middle of furnishing a condo, and I can’t anymore count how many items I bought from SM Home.

Random note for my international readers: If you’re wondering why there are already Christmas decor being sold, Christmas season starts at September here in the Philippines.

One whole floor dedicated to accessories, sunglasses, watches, and bags. You don’t have to go anywhere with this variety easily available.

I particularly like this area of SM Accessories that sells gold and pearl earrings!

Picky? On a budget? I’m sure you’ll still be able to find something in SM Makati that will suit your taste. A lot of items the items I end up buying are classic styles, but they also have bold, trendy styles for the more fashion-forward. By the end of your shopping day, you’ll most likely still have enough money for dinner (that you can get on the lower ground floor, by the supermarket). Who says you need to starve for fashion?

SM Makati has made shopping such a breeze. Whether you’re the type of shopper that likes to meander through racks and shelves of unimaginable options or zip in and out with a decided checklist, you’re guaranteed to discover what you’re looking for. The convenience of shopping in this 5-storey comples is so unmatched that you won’t want to step out. And with all that you need right at your fingertips, you definitely won’t have to.
