Rg and I rarely leave our neighborhood nowadays. Living beside a mall has definitely made our date nights rather predictable. It’s super convenient and comfortable, and it leaves nothing else to desire. Not sure if that’s always a good thing.
A few months ago, upon TGIFriday’s invitation to their SM Mall of Asia store, we had an extra fun date night despite the Ed Sheeran concert traffic.
It must’ve been our lucky day, because we arrived just in time for their weekend flairtending (short for flair bartending) show! Apparently, it simultaneously happens in all their restaurants every Fridays and Saturdays. I’ve heard about flairtending before, but I’ve never actually seen it in action.
I propped my camera in front of the bar, and immediately regretted it as soon as the show started. This stuff is actually dangerous?! They make it look so easy, but juggling bottles and throwing them in the air while keeping a smile on your face must surely require hours and hours of practice! My anxious self gasped every time I could sense a little mishap, but I wouldn’t mind watching another performance again. It was oddly inspiring, how the show went on without any of them giving up.
Our food arrived shortly after. Finished everything as fast as my heartbeat while the show was ongoing.
