EMODA at Shibuya 109

I’ve been constantly promoting EMODA through my blog and outfit posts, but I can’t believe that I haven’t done a proper store post yet!

During my quick trip to Tokyo last May, EMODA gave me permission to take pictures of their Shibuya 109 store! This is a huge deal because Japanese clothing brands (and famous shopping malls like 109) almost never allow anyone to take pictures of their stores. So I must thank EMODA a million times for trusting me enough to share these pictures to the public.

Anyhow, the EMODA store in Shibuya 109 is somewhat like their Tokyo flagship store. They recently moved to a different floor because their old location was too small for EMODA’s popularity. More customers can fit in their new location now! Yay!

Store window display features EMODA’s current S/S 2014 collection “PIN UP LADY”. The pink background is so fresh! EMODA really went all out with pastels this season.

EMODA x Marilyn Monroe limited collection! I don’t know of these are still available until now, but I do know that they released new EMODA x Playboy Bunny items a few days ago, and EMODA x Champion last March.

I got the cherry print knit crop top in white, and I love it so much because the material is perfect for Manila weather! It’s thin enough to wear with my favorite rainy season jackets.

Mermaid game is still going strong in Japan this season, and I must say that EMODA’s take on it is so sophisticated and wearable!

Can never get enough of EMODA accessories. I’m so surprised they released giant heart-shaped earrings! EMODA’s way of doing cute is still classy.

I haven’t had the chance to smell the EMODA perfume yet, but I trust Ena’s taste! I’m sure this smells amazing!

Pastels for spring/summer. I got the cardigan in blue and the semi-transparent bag in white.

Pink, blue and yellow to match with EMODA’s key neutrals. EMODA made me love the combination of pastels and B&W. Never thought they could work so well until now.

Pin up lady jackets! Crissey and I have the black and white gingham one! Here you can see how it looks like when it’s reversed. The blue and pink versions are also reversible so it’s like buying two jackets in one!

Lots of Japanese girls wear socks with their heels, so cute socks are a must! Love these Pin Up Lady socks (I was able to wear them for a shoot!) because they’re partly sheer! You can’t really find a similar design anywhere else.

image

Jeans area! They’re selling all high-waisted jeans now because it’s such a huge trend in Japan. They also have it in different prints and patterns.

EMODA eyewear in creamy, milky colors. The pink ones – I covet!

You can’t skip nautical looks if you’re talking about summer fashion.

EMODA’s pretty shop staff are always wearing the current collection so it’s easier to visualize how the items look like even if there are no mannequins. In a way, Japanese shop staff serve as live mannequins! I’ve seen customers request for the shop staff’s whole outfits numerous times.

They also have the whole brand’s look down pat, from the hair down to the make-up. EMODA COSMETICS just released a new orange lipstick look last May, and the shop staff at 109 were already wearing it!

image

‘90s feel! I never thought I’d wear chokers until EMODA made them look this good.

image

Mirrors all over the store! The shop staff behind me is also wearing the outfit in the photo before this one.

White shoes seem to be a no-brainer in Japan right now. All the girls seem to be wearing them! I’ve always been partial to black footwear, but EMODA’s influence is too strong! I want more white shoes!

Lovey Dovey~ lovey dovey dovey!

EMODA’s got casual statement tees too. I swear they have everything for every girl and every style!

“adidas presents SHIBUYA GIRL’S ELEVEN CUP@109″ was a way for Shibuya 109 to support the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Over 70 Shibuya 109 shop staff were asked to style Japan’s national football team’s jerseys in their own way, and it was all super adorable because their photos were all over the entrance of the mall. Passersby were free to vote for their favorite outfit.

11 major brands from Shibuya 109 also released their own collaboration t-shirts, and of course, EMODA was one of them!

EMODA lifestyle items – iPhone cases, wallets, make-up pouches, etc.

Riding on the ’90s fashion trend! EMODA just released these sky high platform shoes the day of my visit, and every girl in the store already wanted a pair.

THESE SHOES. I regret not getting a pair! Fortunately, EMODA has a global webstore so I can just order online! No need to fly all the way to Japan to get these products. So convenient, right? I’ve already lost count of how many times I’ve ordered from EMODA’s global webstore! It’s my guilty pleasure, huhu~

This Friday the 13th, if you spend over 12,000 JPY (excluding sales tax and postage fee) from EMODA Global Online Store, you can get “WHITE CAMELLIA TOWEL SET” as a novelty gift! They’ll be offering this campaign until stocks last.

Follow EMODA Global’s Facebook here for news and updates! EMODA also released a new iOS app called CAMEREON where you can edit photos, and view EMODA’s current catalog, among other things. Download away!

Hope you enjoyed that little tour of EMODA’s store in Shibuya 109! Hopefully this won’t be the last one!
