Dining at Denny’s McKinley

Old habits die hard. I made Denny’s a daily habit when I was in Vegas some time ago (I went everyday for 4 straight days!). Being familiar with the quality of Denny’s in the US, I admit I was a little skeptical when I first heard they opened here in Manila. I’m glad I gave it a chance though, because everything I ordered definitely satisfied my diner food cravings!

Rg and I haven’t been to the Venice Grand Canal before so we went on a mini field trip to see what’s going on in the area. There were Denny’s signages everywhere (They apparently just opened!), making it an easy choice for me to bring Rg and Crissey to a restaurant they both haven’t been to.

Seeing Denny’s menu, the 3 of us had a small debate on pancakes and waffles. Who are on Team Waffles? Me and Rg! But since we love Crissey so much (LOL!), we got the Lumberjack Slam so she can enjoy her fluffy buttermilk pancakes. To be fair, their pancakes were great – I over-ordered, so I ate the leftover pancakes for breakfast the morning after. I’ll need to come back again and see how their waffles fare, but so far so good with the batter.

Rg and I loved the Zesty Nachos and the Philly Cheesesteak Omelette (I’m a sucker for anything with cheese and eggs!). And the fact that they have fresh juices! I got a lemonade, Rg got the oregano version, while Crissey got some OJ.

We all shared a Chocolate Lava Cake in the end. I forgot to take a photo of the inside of the cake but it was pure bliss! <3 So indulgent but also perfect for a weekend wind down with my favorite people.
