The things you find in Cologne! Literally every corner has some sort of rich history behind it.
When I first spotted the Cologne City Hall, I didn’t know that it was the oldest city hall in Germany. The area where I took my outfit photos below is apparently the most famous part of the building – the Renaissance-style loggia that dates back to 1573.
Since this was all very accidental, I also only found out right then and there that the City Hall is closed on weekends. I went on a Sunday.
On my OOTD: When it’s 3 degrees out, you put on everything you have to keep warm! Would anyone be interested if I made a separate post on how I planned my winter outfits during my Cologne-Munich-Austria trip? It was a 2-week-long trip in absolutely freezing cold (and not to mention, rainy) places, and the practical traveler in me is proud I still had a bit of space left in my luggage by the end of it (even after shopping). When you’re traveling from one city to another in winter and in a short amount of time, you’ll be forced to pack wisely!)
