Photos from the BDJ Fair 2014 last October 19th. The event was called “Live It Up! Dance to the Beat of Your Dreams!”, and I was invited by both Pond’s and Belle de Jour to talk about my personal #BeautifulStory a.k.a. my transformation story!
In a nutshell, I pretty much just mentioned how I wasn’t always very confident in front of the camera, because for a long time, I was so used to being behind-the-scenes. I still consider myself veeery awkward in motion, though I’d like to think that because of this, I can represent all the awkward girls in the world lololol
Having nerdy hobbies doesn’t mean that you also cannot get into other things like beauty or fashion. I used to never bring up the topic of anime and video games (and even my geekiness towards photography and design) to people I meet, in fear of being told that I don’t look the part, or that I’m such a loser for always wanting to stay at home and watch the latest shows, instead of going out to events and partying.
There’s room for different kinds of beauty in this world. Just continue doing what you like to do, and never be afraid to reveal who you really are. What other people think about you is none of your business, so just spend your time productively. You’ll be amazed at what you can achieve!
