Every girl dreams of getting a Tiffany engagement ring (with matching box and certificate). Or at least a Tiffany setting or a Tiffany-inspired ring. Personally, I’ve always loved the classic diamond solitaire Tiffany setting engagement ring ever since I was a kid. I guess I was somewhat brainwashed by animations and illustrations that all engagement rings should look like a Tiffany, with a simple band and a classic Disney princess rock. It was only when I got older that I found out that there was so much more to an engagement ring that I didn’t know about.
Engagement rings weren’t really relevant to me until recently. All the girls in my barkada except me have all been proposed to this 2015, and their rings look totally different from one another! Their boyfriends chose ring designs that they believed suited their girlfriends best… which makes me a little fearful for my own engagement ring since I’m so particular about what I wear! Buying an engagement ring for a girlfriend with an already-established personal style can be two-pronged. On one hand, a specific vision is already laid out. Getting every detail perfect, on the other hand, is a different matter…
Ultimately, I’ll say yes to anything. I’m just glad that I was able to fit some beautiful Tiffany rings at the latest Tiffany and Co. event at Rustan’s Makati. I finally got to know my ring size, and more or less the size of the rock I want to… well, rock. With my tiny fingers and understated taste in jewelry, I’m totally fine with a dainty-sized one!
