Piandre Salon: New Hair Color

So happy of my new hair color by Piandre Salon!

Finally got to post this! If you haven’t noticed yet, I ditched my blonde hair for a more healthy brown recently. Summer’s over, and I was really getting tired of sporting light hair. It was getting annoyingly uneven, and because I was only getting my roots retouched for the past 5-6 months, the ends haven’t been looking their best.

I tried a new salon out because I’ve been hearing awesome reviews about a certain Piandre Salon in BGC. Sound familiar? This chain of salons opened in 1987… which makes it even older than me. Piandre has been serving loyal customers with high-end services for the past 27 years. But I think this is only proof of their success over the years. After all, they say that everyone can start something, but not everyone gets to stay.

They use Lakme, a popular, high-quality brand from Barcelona. And guess what? Their strength in Asia is the color ASH. Unlike other brands, Lakme’s ash doesn’t turn into rust or orange. It always fades to a cool brown. It has low levels of ammonia so you’re sure that it won’t dry or damage your hair too much.

I chose 7/00 which is a medium ash blonde.

I was *thisclose* to choosing from their “blue ash” range (first time to see this in a salon!), but I opted for something warmer and healthier-looking!

Hair before dyeing. Thank God I’m not sporting this color anymore. This ash blonde faded to an uneven yellow. It had mostly to do with my trip to Bali a few months ago where I went swimming, huhu. Bad idea!

Going from light to dark is always a speedy process.

(Look for Ms. Alona if you want to get the same color!)

Before I knew it, it was already time to wash the dye off!

I AM IN LOVE WITH THEIR SHAMPOO AREA! So clean and spacious. No sore necks because of the design of the chairs.

Two people are always needed to dry my long hair at salons. Imagine how long it takes me to get ready in the morning. (Which is also why I wake up early so I can air dry my hair if possible)

My hair looked quite dark for the first 3-4 days, but the true color eventually revealed itself after a few washes.

A week later, I came back for a much-needed treatment!

Macadamia treatment for dry, colored hair. Smelled sooo good!

Kind sir also gave me a really good back massage while we waited for the treatment to seep in.

My mom also loved her experience at Piandre! She got her roots retouched and nails painted. She was quite surprised that the prices were actually very reasonable. The menu of services was right in front of her (on the table) so there wasn’t really any excuse for her to not be aware of the prices of the services she availed. No bill shocks or hidden charges here.

We’ll definitely come back here for more mom-daughter bonding sessions! Super convenient because we’re always in BGC anyway. And omg, how ideal can this salon get? They open at 7AM Mon-Sat (9AM Sun), which means early risers (like me) and busy women (like my mom) can have perfect, salon hair for a longer period of time.

Watch out for more reviews of this salon in the future! So far, I’m absolutely smitten. Reasonably-priced high-class products and services.
