Nagasaki: Atomic Bomb Museum, Peace Park

Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum

I didn’t think visiting the Atomic Bomb Museum and Peace Park for the second time could still have some impact on me. I don’t remember being as socially aware or emotionally mature then (5+ years ago)  as I am now (not that I’m saying I’m a true adult now – it’s just that I was such a kid during my last visit), so this part of my visit to Nagasaki struck a different note.

For the people of Nagasaki, while these places may be tangible reminders of such a tragic event, it’s also a constant reminder that it should never, ever happen again.

“Hiroshima in anger, Nagasaki in prayer.” The world needs all the prayers it can get nowadays.
