First post after getting married, and most probably my last post before Chinese New Year! This means I’m back to regular programming – yay! Starting today, expect a lot from my pre-wedding backlog!
I actually just got back from our minimoon in Hong Kong, and it was super fun witnessing everyone get ready for the Year of the Rooster. Most, if not all store displays and mall decor were made up of lucky items in time for CNY, so it was only natural for me to bring out my rooster-embroidered shirt from MANGO to match the festive mood. Check out my statement earrings! I found it amusing that they sway along with the lanterns in Lee Tung Street.
The Year of the Rooster is supposedly a lucky year for us Dragons, though I’m lucky enough to be Dragon to begin with – I can’t remember the last time we were forecasted to have bad luck. I’m not too superstitious though – I still believe that we create our own luck with the choices and decisions that we make.
