Can’t believe it has almost been a year since Happymallow first started! I still remember all the hard work that Farrah put into piecing everything together, and I really admire her for her initiative to create a local Korean fashion-inspired brand that Filipinos can have easy access to, without having to fly all the way to Seoul. “Be the person that you needed when you were younger.”, they say. That’s exactly what she did! Out of pure love for Korean fashion and culture, she actually started Happymallow way before she was actually able to go to Korea. Now that she has finally crossed it off her bucket list, she’s determined to share all the inspiration she got from that special trip. I was so excited for her while she was there! I was reminded of the first time I went to Japan – I was so happy that I shed a few tears as soon as the plane landed. Things are really happening for her! I’m happy when my friends are happy.
One year after our first shoot for Happymallow, and we’re back to shooting against my white wall. The reason why I haven’t been posting a lot of outfit posts recently is that there’s no one around to take my outdoor photos anymore (One of our household helpers decided to move on from us after 10 years, huhu – I sorely miss her!). So now, I’m basically back to where I started – self-timer OOTDs. I used to hate that I was so limited by my studio all the time, but now that I think about it, I think these white background photos have somehow become a cool signature look that sets my photos apart from the usual OOTD photos floating around the web. Just trying to think positively about my photographer-less, assistant-less situation, lol.
Anyhow, without further ado, here are some of the photos we shot for Happymallow‘s latest collection!
