Germany: Bonn

On our way back to the station.

Before finally saying farewell to the city of Cologne, we took a day trip to Bonn, one of Germany’s oldest cities. It was West Germany’s temporary capital in the ’40s, but it’s mostly known to tourists as the birthplace of Ludwig van Beethoven (though a lot of anecdotes says that he actually really hated Bonn, lol).

I would’ve stayed here overnight if time wasn’t an issue. One of Bonn’s main attractions is The Museum Mile, a row of museums that attract more than a million visitors per year. Kunstmuseum Bonn (Bonn Art Museum) and Kunst- und Ausstellungshalle der Bundesrepublik Deutschland (Art and Exhibition Hall of the Federal Republic of Germany, Bonn) are two museums I’d have loved to visit! Next time!
